Brian's Dissertation Defense & Graduation

Last Monday Brian defended his dissertation and did and excellent job with his presentation. His committee was very impressed with his work and he passed! He had very few changes to make and he submitted all the paper work and finished everything he was required to do. He is officially done!!!

Here he is setting up (I wanted to get an actual picture of him presenting but we decided that would be inappropriate):

Here is the announcement for his defense on the big screen in the Talmage building foyer:

Hannah was so excited for her daddy to hold her after he was done:

On Friday morning Brian graduated with his Ph.D. in Computer Science. It was amazing to watch as he was recognized and hooded. I felt so proud of him and I enjoyed watching him up there. We had lots of family support and we really appreciated all of those that came.

We went to a reception afterward that the Computer Science department had for all of the graduates and their families. We enjoyed visiting with some of the professors and eating yummy refreshments. Hannah had a lot of fun walking around.

We enjoyed a lunch at Sizzler with almost everyone that came. I forgot to take pictures there. We had fun visiting with our family members and we are so grateful for all those that came.

Now we are getting ready for our new adventures in San Jose!
