Yesterday I took my first trip to Tabiona. In case you don't know, Tabiona is a little town east of Heber that has a population around 12. Actually, according to Wikipedia, the population was 149 in the year 2000. By visiting Tabiona, I experienced the Turner tradition of visiting the family graves there.
After stopping by Heber to buy lunch, we went to the cemetery. It was cold, windy, and rainy up there, which I hear is quite normal when the Turner family visits. We then ate our lunch and headed home, stopping by Granny's restaurant for shakes.
I have to say that my first visit to the infamous Tabiona was pretty fun, but not the most exciting thing in the world. It was good to learn a little more about Lesley's family history and spend time with her parents. I just wish it was a little closer. :-P
Brian--I think you have officially passed every test of being a part of the Turner family! I'm sorry we were not there to enjoy the day with you. I really LOVE going to Tabiona, but some other family members are not thrilled with it and everyone here was sick all weekend except me. I also wish it was a bit closer!
