Busted

I busted my arm. I was riding a bike for exercise, and while I was standing on the petals the chain came off. It caused me to lose my balance and I wasn't able to recover. The radius broke near the wrist. I needed surgery to place pins in it to keep it from shifting while healing.

Here's my pins. They go into the bone and come out of the skin. As the bone heals, it pushes them out. Once the pins are out of the bone, they come out of my flesh pretty easily. I guess it's kind of like those pop-up turkey timer things, once it pops out you know it's done.
